We love the approach Israeli couple Miriam, a dog trainer, and Moshe, who works in cybersecurity, took when it came to planning their Jewish wedding: their vibe was going with the flow. In the bride’s words, “we didn’t want to overthink it and just wanted to get married!”
HaGiva, with its stunning scenery, delicious food, and incredible staff, was the perfect one-and-done venue to streamline their planning, and Miriam’s simple gown from Dylan Parienty perfectly complemented the mood of the day.
That doesn’t mean this wedding was without personal touches, though – for instance, we love that the couple chose herbs as their centerpieces, and had guests take them home at the end of the night.
Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Herschel Gutman photographed the day in his signature warm, emotion-forward style, and we’re positively in love with his wonderful images.

A HaGiva Wedding
Miriam, the bride: We got married at HaGiva because it’s absolutely beautiful, has amazing food, and incredible staff.
Going with the Flow
We didn’t have a wedding planner! We just went with the flow.
A Dylan Parienty Dress
My dress was from Dylan Parienty. I’ve always liked more understated dresses so I went with a more plain and simple vibe.
Ceremony & Chuppah
No special touches or design – we didn’t want to overthink it and just wanted to get married!
Our music choice
We absolutely loved DJ ASI.
Flowers
I chose herbs as the centerpieces and the guests could take whichever ones they wanted. I chose simple baby’s breathe for my bouquet.
Photographer and videographer
Herschel Gutman and Tal Herman were my excellent photographer and videographer. I chose them because a decade ago they did my good friend’s wedding, so I saw firsthand how great they were.
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
Take melatonin the night before! I couldn’t sleep at all and should’ve taken. But even if you can’t sleep the night before, there’s so much adrenaline on the wedding day, so I had plenty of energy.
