Get ready to be transported to the beautiful South of France, where Parisians Rebecca and Jeremy held their absolute stunner of a Jewish wedding!
The pair fell in love with their venue, Fortin de Corbières, the moment they set eyes on it, and with its epic views overlooking the Bay of Marseille it’s easy to see why. It was the perfect spot for Rebecca and Jeremy’s exuberance-meets-elegance aesthetic, filled with bright florals and personal touches – there are SO many, but just for one don’t miss the name cards made with antique keys! Photographer Moonriver Prod captured them – and all the lovely details of the day – so perfectly.
When it came to choosing a kosher caterer for the special day, no one would do but the best of the best, and that was Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Dany’s Traiteur. Rebecca and Jeremy were thrilled with how delicious and well-presented the food was – and they got tons of compliments from their guests.
There’s lots more to say, but we’ll turn you over to Rebecca, who looked ever so elegant in her
Celestina Agostino dress, for the rest…
How we Met
Rebecca, the bride and Jeremy, the groom: We are both dentists and met during our first year at medical school. For Rebecca it was love at first sight but it took some time before they decided to go on a date. It was when we met again the following year at dentist school that we really got to spend some time together and made it official.
A Wedding in the South of France
We got married at Fortin de Corbières, a venue located in the South of France overlooking the sea and the Bay of Marseille. We wanted to have an open space with amazing backgrounds and views. We fell in love with this venue !!
Theme & Wedding Planner
Living in Paris and wanting to have the wedding in the South of France, we decided to look for a wedding planner. We are also both very busy with work. Meeting with Claire Yossman Weddings, we knew instantly that she was the right fit for us. She gave us confidence and she got to really know us, who we were and what we were looking for.
We didn’t know what we wanted for the design but we knew things we didn’t want. Claire created our wedding theme and design to be the true reflection of ourselves. Flowers with bright colors, as we are young and fun people, and elegant touches with lovely almond green tablecloths and golden tableware.
Then it was all about the small details: Invitations, the personalized kippot and fans, the wedding favors in pomegranate shapes filled with coated sugar almonds, the placetags made with antique keys. On the day everything was just so perfect, beyond our wildest dreams! We had so much fun and so many compliments on the decor and the venue.
A Celestina Agostino Dress
I went for a Celestina Agostino dress. I just loved the style and the floral embroideries of the top of the dress. Very elegant and romantic. I loved the fact that I could easily walk and dance with it. It came with a cape to cover my shoulders during the houppa which gave me a two in one style.
Hair + Makeup
Rebecca wanted a very natural and glowy look. So she went for Trine Juel, a make up artist Claire recommended. She was so thrilled with the result !!
Ceremony and Chuppah
The Chuppah was such a key moment of our day. The emotional high point! We had a cushions for our rings that was made by our families with our names embroided.
For the design, we wanted to have something spectacular, very organic with lots of foliage and pops of colors. And with the sea as a background, we knew the result would be fantastic and so it was!
We also spent so much time to select the right songs for the groom and bridal entrance. When Jeremy saw Rebecca for the first time in her dress it was like time stopped for a minute. She was so beautiful!!
Our Music Choice
As we mentioned earlier, we took time to choose our songs as we didn’t want to have the same songs as everybody. Processional : Jeremy made his entrance to ‘Una rosa Blanca’ Rebecca arrived to ‘Arrival of the birds’ such a powerful song accompanied by the violins of the band. People were in tears!! Recessional : The traditional Mazel tov song !
First dance : We didn’t want to have a cheesy first dance, so we decided instead for the band to play a wild set of music and get everybody to dance together. The band, Vibes Music, was unbelievable and our guests danced the night away until 4am.
Flowers
We wanted colorful arrangements with bright colors such as orange, yellow and fushia. The result was very lively yet elegant. We loved it!!
Photographer and videographer
We used Moonriver Prod as they are based in Paris and could also capture our civil ceremony. They provide photo and video packages and have a modern and fun style we instantly liked.
Food and Cake
We needed to have strict kosher catering. Dany’s traiteur came highly recommended and the food was delicious and so well presented! We got so many compliments from our guests!!
Extra Details
We wanted to have personal touches such as personalized kippot and fans. We hand made the escort cards with vintage keys and had a pomegranate filled with coated almonds as a guests gin.
