Gorgeous chuppah alert! Londoners Tatiana and Dan, who both work in tech, had one of the most absolutely exquisite floral chuppahs we’ve seen – and we see a lot!
Given that Tatiana’s family owns Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Easthampstead Park Hotel in Wokingham, it was a natural choice for their wedding weekend. The stunning Victorian country house venue an hour outside London provided the perfect spot for all of their events, from the Lebanese-themed Friday night dinner to the main Jewish ceremony and reception on Saturday to the Sunday brunch – and since they fully took over the hotel for the weekend, all of their guests were able to stay together and get to know one another.
Planning a three-day affair is no easy feat, and Tatiana and Dan turned to Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Sophie Amor to help make their wedding dreams come true. In Tatiana’s words, “Sophie was so incredible, and her patience was unwavering – she made us feel like ours was the only wedding she was working on for nine months! I really couldn’t recommend her more – she was so organised, understood me & Dan inside and out and just made our weekend completely stress free.”
Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Sensation Band made sure the dance floor was packed all night long – and also arranged for the incredible electric violinists who played as guests made their way to the dinner marquee!
The couple’s photographer, Pippa Mackenzie, captured the day so beautifully, and their videographer, Smashing The Glass Recommended Vendor Denee Motion, filmed the celebration in his trademark cinematic style – and Tatiana and Dan appreciated his calming presence on the day.
There’s so much more to say about this very special wedding – but we’ll turn you over to the bride, who looked simply ravishing in her bespoke Emma Beaumont gown, for the rest…
How We Met
Tatiana, the bride: We were introduced between the second and third lockdowns in London, and have slightly varying accounts of what happened! For me, I was chatting with a few different guys, two of which were already named Dan (Dan 1 and Dan 2). When I met my friend Saacha for lunch, she cut in and said, “OMG, I have Dan 3 for you!” and passed Dan my number. However, for Dan, he was feeling a bit worn out with dating after a not-so-great date, so he only reached out a week later. We met and saw each other for the first time at The Marylebone Pub were we had our first date, and hit it off right away (helped by many tequila shots and lots of laughter).
Keeping It in the Family
We got married at Easthampstead Park Hotel in Wokingham.
The venue is deeply special to us for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s owned by my family—my dad is a hotelier, so it was incredibly meaningful for him to see one of his kids marry in his hotel. Secondly, it’s where Dan and I had our first getaway! Dan thought it would be our first romantic night away. But I invited my brother, packed three Nerf guns, and a bottle of tequila and we spent the night running around the empty hotel like teenagers!
Also, we wanted a truly intimate, cohesive celebration. Because we owned the hotel, we were able to take it over fully for the weekend and invite all our guests to stay for two nights for a three-day wedding. We kicked off with a stunning Lebanese-themed dinner on Friday, had our main Jewish ceremony and reception on Saturday, and wrapped up with a brunch on Sunday. Having everyone staying together meant our different circles got to know each other really well, making the whole weekend feel wonderfully connected and have a special feeling to it that our guests felt was really unique.
Blending Two Cultures
The overall theme was centered around pinks and blush colours, a celebration of our love, and a beautiful blending of our two cultures (Lebanese and Jewish), all with a huge focus on guest enjoyment.
We kept the energy high by moving our guests from space to space so nothing felt the same: from the gardens for the ceremony, to the marquee for dinner, and the ballroom for the afterparty.
My wedding planner, Sophie Amor, was my absolute hero. She was so incredible, and her patience was unwavering—she made us feel like ours was the only wedding she was working on for nine months! I really couldn’t recommend her more – she was so organised, understood me & Dan inside and out and just made our weekend completely stress free.
Invitation/Stationery
We used Loupaper. We’re huge foodies, so our favourite unique touch was naming all our tables after our favourite date night spots. So, the main table was, of course, called Nando’s!
Hair + Makeup
Makeup: I picked Frankie Neal because I wanted something really natural that still felt like me. After two trials, she completely got it—I still go to her for big events!
Hair: I chose Gaby Goldring because I wanted her to stay with me for all three days. Friday was a half-up/half-down; Saturday started down and ended in a high pony; and Sunday was a messy bun with ceramic white flowers. Gaby was such a charming, kind person and an absolute rock for me all weekend!
An Emma Beaumont Dress
For my main dress: I ended up going the bespoke route with the incredible designer, Emma Beaumont. After one consultation, Emma completely understood my vision. My mum was thrilled because it reminded her of how her own dress was made and it meant we had a really special dress-journey together, going to Manchester once a month just the two of us and watching it transform.
The dress was unique, featuring little flowers hand-cut from lace and then painstakingly placed and sewn on. Emma even beaded some of the flowers before attaching them, which truly brought the design to life. She also made a bespoke veil to match. It was perfect.
For Friday night dinner, I had a pair of bespoke trousers with a matching top made by Nina Morris all out of white lace. I loved my two piece so much!
For Sunday brunch, I wore another white lace dress by Rodarte.
Accessories & Shoes
I wore a lot of my mum’s jewellery, which was incredibly special. On the Friday night, I wore a stunning diamond lace choker which she later gifted me for my 30th birthday—it was a beautiful moment. For shoes, I went for comfort with white Valentino’s.
I really cared about the little details and had many things bespoke-made: I had a pocket square embroidered for Dan with a bespoke message in my handwriting, and a whiskey glass with a note etched in my handwriting. I also hand-wrote notes for all my bridesmaids and both sets of parents—I felt so much love, and I wanted them to feel it too.
Bridesmaids
Yes, I had ten bridesmaids! I let them pick any long dress that was pink, and it looked great as it tied in with the theme without forcing them all into the same dress.
The speeches were incredible. My Maid of Honour, Isabella, gave the most unique and amazing speech, telling our love story through the lens of a Disney character! My brothers’ speech had everyone in stitches and is still talked about to this day.
Ceremony & Chuppah
Our ceremony was brought to life by Rabbi David—we got married on three levels that day: spiritually (through our self-written vows), religiously, and legally. Rabbi David spoke beautifully and really made sure our ceremony reflected who we both were.
My favourite part was seeing the Chuppah for the first time—it was a dream! Made by our florist Miri, it had blooms literally falling off it from every direction and smelled like heaven. All I wanted was lots and lots of flowers, and she delivered! Our singer, Maya, who is the singer at my synagogue, has the most beautiful voice, and I couldn’t have pictured the day without her.
Ketubah
Our synagogue designed our Ketubah for us, and we love it.
Our music choice
Friday Night & After Party: DJ Jonny Bluestone is a magician who played a mix of Arabic music on Friday and then brought the Ibiza club night vibe with a drummer for the Saturday afterparty.
Ceremony: Maya and her team, accompanied by a violin and a piano, created the perfect setting.
Reception & Dinner: As guests moved to the dinner marquee, we shocked them with four electric violinists on podiums playing music! Then, Sensation Band, who also arranged the violinists, took over and kept everyone dancing nonstop.
Sunday Brunch: My maid of honour’s dad, Naresh, curated a perfect special playlist for just for us.
Flowers
We chose Miri with Flowers by Miri and she’s simply the best. We were told her weddings had ‘too many flowers,’ and my mum and I agreed that sounded perfect! Flowers were most important to me, so having an abundance of them was exactly what I wanted. She created massive floral installations, including trees made of flowers in the marquee to fill the space.
Photographer and videographer
Photographer: I picked Pippa Mackenzie because I was completely obsessed with her Life Book—a stunning, high-end luxury album. I hired her for the book, and her beautiful photos were an added bonus! She and her husband, Ian, were so calm on the day. The photos were amazing, but the Life Book is the best—when I look through it, I genuinely cry because I’m transported back to the emotion of our wedding.
Videographer: We fell in love with Denee Motion when reviewing his work online. He knew how to perfectly capture every moment and was the most amazing, calming presence.
Food and cake
We are HUGE foodies, so food was paramount!
Saturday & Sunday: Melanie’s Catering provided exceptional quality and quantity, paying particular attention to allergens for my dairy allergy. They’re the best!
Friday: Awafi did our incredible Lebanese catering.
Fun Additions: We had an ice cream van, and for the afterparty, we served entrecôte sandwiches—steak, special sauce, and fries in a baguette—which was delicious!
Cake: We wanted an old-school style frosted white cake, and Le Papillon Cakes made it perfectly.
Extra Details
The most amazing part of the night was the multi-sensory experience when our guests walked into the main marquee: hearing the electric violinists, seeing the flower trees, and smelling the fresh mint we laid on the floor.
Other special touches included custom-sticker water bottles in every guest room, along with little paper origami swans that my mum, sister, and I hand-made. We also served amazing entrecôte sandwiches for our after-party. Every detail, from the flowers to the food to the incredible speeches, was designed to immerse our family and friends in the celebration.
Honeymoon
We went on honeymoon to South Africa, splitting our time between Cape Town and safari parks, Ngala and Phinda.
It was perfectly organised by my close family friend, Alexis Stein, who has the most amazing luxury travel agency. She made us feel like the most special couple in the world—I couldn’t recommend her enough!
Advice to couples currently planning their wedding
We were constantly told to just enjoy every second, and we made a huge effort to do that. Early in the planning, we wrote down what our core goal for getting married was, and whenever we felt overwhelmed, we revisited that note to keep us grounded. We also leaned into having a lot of fun and kept those who wanted to be involved close to us through every step!
