Divine Designer Dresses and Dancing Brides at White Gallery 2017

24/05/2017 by Karen Cinnamon

It’s that time of year again – when the wedding industry gathers for its own version of Fashion Week — London’s world-renowned White Gallery. Having had such a blast last year, I decided, of course, to do it all over again. Armed with fabulous photographer and STG Recommended Vendor, Kate Nielen, I spent last Monday in the company of some of the most exquisite designer gowns out there.

Sassi Holford

The highlight of the event was, of course, the stand-out catwalk show by STG Recommended Vendor and leading designer, Sassi Holford, complete with dancing models – see video below! (and we swear they were dancing to “Israeli Men”…. who’s even heard of “It’s Raining Men“?!).

Needless to say, Sassi Holford’s 2018 Collection was truly a sight to behold, with its sweeping, regal silhouettes, and the show-stopping Ivana gown, truly fit for a queen.

Caroline Castigliano

I had the great pleasure of meeting the one and only Caroline Castigliano, who was utterly delightful, and whose dreamy 2018 Collection is the very definition of  ‘romantic’. This is not the first time Caroline’s fabulous work has graced our pages, and it certainly won’t be the last!

Savin London

We just LOVED this season’s Savin London designs. I passionately adored the bridal bomber jackets – what a great alternative to traditional cover ups for shoulders under the chuppah!

Savannah Miller

An accomplished bridal designer with an effortless, sophisticated boho style, Savannah Miller has made a name for herself. The sister of actress Sienna Miller – what a gene pool. I was a big fan of her cape cover ups for under the chuppah and she was a total joy in person.

Alan Hannah

I was also fortunate enough to chat to Alan Hannah, whose edgy 2018 Collection is perfect for brides with a strong, unique, cool sense of style.

Stephanie Allin

Stephanie Allin designed my own wedding dress, so we have a very special connection. It is always an enormous delight to see her and her latest collection is as breath-taking as ever.

Adam Zohar

Adam Zohar is the hottest new Israeli designers on the block and definitely one to watch – you heard it here first! He was a total treat, and we were blown away by his sexy, feminine and empowering designs.

Justin Alexander

Elegant and poised, evoking elements of aristocracy and old Hollywood in equal measure, Justin Alexander’s Spring 2018 Collection is just another reason we’re so in love with the label. Justin Alexander dress designs have featured in many Smashing the Glass real weddings – and long may they continue to do so!

Emerging wedding trends for 2018

Dresses fit for princesses and duchesses, yes, even queens, are storming the catwalks this season, and we’re sure to see many elegant, sophisticated brides in 2018. We’re sure it’s the Israeli influence (of course it is – Israeli men!), but we’re definitely seeing more embellishments, daring looks and plunging necklines than ever before – and we love it!

Love what you see as much as we do? We’d love to hear from you! Leave us some comments in the box below, and get Pinning – these divine designs deserve to be seen by all!
