Wow for the Weekend: 11 July 2014

11/07/2014 by Karen

YAY GRAPHIC
It’s been a ‘yay’ kind of  week for Smashing The Glass. Just as I’d finishing celebrating  our  first blog birthday last month, and the new look redesign last week, I found out yesterday that the blog has just been  shortlisted for two Wedding Blog Awards! Yes Smashing The Glass has  been nominated as  Best Bridal Blog Newcomer and Best Real Life Weddings in Wedding magazine’s Wedding Blog Awards  and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you to all of you that nominated me to get me this far but now let’s win this thing!

The next, and final step, is to  take 10 seconds out of your day to vote for Smashing The Glass.  It genuinely takes just moments to vote in both catgeories and it will make me one very happy bloggess!

Have a wonderful weekend whatever you’re up to, and  take a little break from wedding planning with these fun links…

Wow for the Weekend: 27 June 2014

SOMETHING BIG
I’ve been working on a big new development for Smashing The Glass, and I cannot wait to finally share  it with you next Tuesday  1st July (put the date  in your diary!). I hope you’ll be as excited as I am  when you see it.

What else has been happening  this week? Well on Monday  I attended  Cosmopolitan’s Superblogger Masterclass 2014 with the lovely Nova from  Nu Bride, which we followed with a  pizza dinner where the two of us continued to talk about nothing but blogging. Obsessed!

I’m also loving the Wimbledon atmosphere all over London this week. Is there anything more quintessentially British  than the sound of a tennis rally, cheering for an  underdog,  and the umpire announcing, ‘new balls please’? I love this country!

What are you up to this weekend? I’m off for a weekend in the English countryside with Mr STG, my daughter and my parents. Proper quality time with my family and I cannot wait!

Have a wonderful weekend! Here  are some of my favourite links from around the web to wind you down into yours.

Wow for the Weekend: 23 May 2014

Dorchester tea
This week was mostly spent blogging (and of course being a mum to 6 month old Sacha)  but I did go to a fantastic raclette dinner party on Wednesday night (how retro is that?!) and also had the most wonderful afternoon tea at The Dorchester with the legendary Mark Niemierko. We had lots of  fun munching on  Chelsea Flower Garden themed cakes whilst  discussing some very exciting collaborations. Keep your eyes peeled for what  Team Smashierko have in store for you!

Also to let you know that last week the illustrious  Wedding Blog Award nominations opened up. If you love STG I’d be so honoured  if you’d spend  10 seconds  nominating me in the Best Newcomer category (second from bottom in the dropdown menu).

And now  down to business, here are some of my favourite links from this week to send you off into your weekend…
