We’re celebrating our 4th birthday with a chic rebrand and a fun Facebook Live tonight!

21/06/2017 by Karen Cinnamon

Smashing-The-Glass
Notice anything different about us today? Oh, only everything! That’s right, we’ve treated ourselves to a gorgeous rebrand, courtesy of the internationally renowned USA Design Studio Branch, who designed our beautiful new look.

Our old logo was designed by me, way back in 2013 when STG was in its infancy. It’s served us beautifully, but now that we’re four, and all grown up, we felt it was time for a sophisticated rebrand, a whole new aesthetic that reflects the fact that we are the biggest Jewish wedding blog in the world.

Take a look at us now

We’ve come a long way since 2013. Back then, it was just me, with a laptop and a very big dream. We have now grown into a fantastic team of five:

We have gorgeous Maria, our amazing editorial assistant; ever-delightful Claire, our much-loved client relations manager; effervescent Sara, our fantastic features writer, and wonderful Megan; our very talented social media manager. And, of course, there’s me, Karen, the founder and editor.

While I will always be at the helm, and at the heart of STG, steering its direction, the brand has evolved way beyond just me, and I’m so happy and proud that we are all able to share in the day-to-day excitement of what we do.

Our social media channels have also been given a sprucing, you can check them out below (and if you haven’t already – what are you waiting for?)

Oh, and don’t forget our special, supportive, closed Facebook group for Jewish and Jew-ish brides and grooms to chat all things wedding planning. You can join up here!

An enormous THANK YOU

You, our readers, have believed in us, many of you from day one, and made all of this happen. Without our community of engaged (in both senses of the world), intelligent and enthusiastic readers, contributors and Recommended Vendors, we would just be talking into the wind, so thank you, as always, for your continued love and support from all over the world. It means so much that we share in the joint inspiration of Smashing The Glass.

What’s New?

We ADORE talking to, and with, you, so we’ve ramped things up a notch and increased our blogging schedule. There will now be a brand new blog post going live every day of the week, Monday through Friday.

Three incredible Real Jewish Weddings will be lovingly blogged every week, so be sure to check in on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for inspirational real wedding posts, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays for advice, blogging Jewish brides, wedspiration and much more.

Speaking of which, watch out for an absolutely epic real Jewish wedding, which will go live on the blog later today at 12 midday GMT. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Our navigation has also been rejigged to make sure that what you’re looking for is easier to find (and huge thanks here must go to the amazing Ian at Swash & Fold for all his behind-the-scenes work on our rebrand. Ian — you’re a saint!).

More Facebook Lives

Finally we will be doing even more Facebook Lives. From our recent survey we know that you LOVE watching and interacting with our Facebook Lives, and we absolutely love doing them. Speaking of which, I will be going live from my apartment tonight, Wednesday 21st June, at 8.30pm GMT to our Facebook page for an ‘Ask Me Anything’ Facebook Live special, and of course I also want to interact live with you and hear what you think of our brand new look!

If you want to pre-submit a question for the Live, please comment below or drop me an email or ask away later live on Facebook at 8.30pm GMT (that’s 3.30pm EST, 12.30pm PST and 9.30pm CET). See you then – I can’t wait!
