Jewish Newlywed Spotlight: Paulyna Lara

19/01/2022 by Karen Cinnamon

Paulyna was a member of our Brides Club for Jewish and Jew-ish brides.

Inside Brides Club, I personally help you to minimize wedstress and overwhelm, and maximize your wedding budget. Oh – and every Brides Club member gets a free smash glass pouch (designed by me) for under the chuppah posted out to them too. Mazal Tov!

Come and join Brides Club too – for advice, discounts, community, sisterhood… and your sanity!

ABOUT PAULYNA

Where are you from? I’m from Mexico and Sagiv is from Israel
What do you do for a living? I have a small company that furnishes and manages airbnb’s and Sagiv manages a hedge fund
How did you meet your partner?Bumble app haha
When did you first know you were in love? It’s wasn’t a specific moment or day. Love grew up gradually and suddenly we just were in love!

ABOUT YOUR WEDDING

When and where did you get married? November 13th, 2021 in Seattle, Washington. We just had the civil wedding as our big wedding in Canada got canceled. We are planning on having our Chuppah next year in Israel, where Sagiv’s family lives when pandemic allows it
What was your wedding song for walking down the aisle? We haven`t had the religious ceremony 🙁 our wedding event of 180 people got canceled because of covid so we just went to City Hall.
How many guests did you invite to your wedding? It was an elopement. We flew to Seattle, Washington, went to City Hall just the two of us and thats it
What was your favorite part of/thing about your wedding day?We improvised our day without planning very much and ended up having so much fun
Best wedding planning tip? Sometimes plans might not come out as you expected. So just remember that decoration, guests, venue, etc. is not the most important thing. The most important thing are you and your partner.
Wedding vendors you would recommend? Samantha Rose Weddings (Vancouver, Canada)
Where did you go on honeymoon? We didn’t have one because of covid. Hopefully can plan a trip next year.
What does marriage mean to you? Commitment.
Has your relationship with your partner changed since you got married? No. We felt we were married already haha
Secret to a happy relationship? Communication

ABOUT YOUR JEWISH LIFE

Fave meal to eat together on Friday night? it’s not a meal but Red wine haha
Fave Jewish festival Shabbat! We just love having shabbat every week.
Fave piece of Judaica in your home I don’t have any, hopefully soon!
Fave Jewish food challah!
Fave Jewish tradition shabbat candles
Fave wedding gift you received for your home We didn’t ask for gifts. we just think we don’t need anything else in our lives. We are fully satisfied with what we already own.

What did you love most about being a BRIDES CLUB member?

I feel part of a Community.

FUN STUFF
